Who is the ideal user of ConvertKit?
ConvertKit does a great job of defining their target market. BLOGGERS!
On the front page of their website, in bold letters, they say, “Email marketing made by creators, for creators.”
So, they exist to help out bloggers and online creators. This could be blog content creators, course creators, or other digital product creators.
Likewise, if you own an affiliate website있음 a mom blogger, have created an online course, or have other digital products, then ConvertKit may be a great fit for you!
Out of the email marketing tools (ConvertKit and MailChimp), I found ConvertKit to be the easiest to use for my small business.
In contrast, MailChimp was frequently down and I couldn’t get their customer service people to email me back with answers.
Oh, and by the way, as soon as I switched to using ConvertKit, I more than 배 my daily subscriber rate!

ConvertKit Beginner’s Guide for Mom Bloggers
In this beginner’s guide, let’s do a walk through on each of the features that ConvertKit offers and how you can take advantage of them.
ConvertKit Home Screen
After you have signed up and logged in, you will be taken to your homepage where the first thing you see is a graph under subscribers.
This tells you how many subscribers have signed-up within a specific day.
It also shows how many total subscribers in a week, in a month, and since you’ve started using ConvertKit.
If you hover over each bar, you will be able to see how many subscribers opted into that content upgrade or lead magnet that day.
On the upper left corner of the homepage and below the subscriber’s section, you can make forms and see all the forms you have made.
Forms can be embedded anywhere on your website.
This is where someone visiting your website can type in their email to subscribe to your newsletter, receive a content upgrade, etc.
You can customize each form’s colors and styles to match your brand.
Below, I’ll show you how to pick a form, customize it, get the code, and embed the form into your blog post.
From start to finish, this takes about 3-4 minutes. Super quick and super easy!
Sequences are where you can start making email sequences for these forms and landing pages.
You can program these sequences to send out emails all throughout a specific period of time starting from when a person signed up and subscribed.
These emails are automatically sent out and each one is highly customizable.
You can specify what date, what time, and even leave out some subscribers you don’t want that email to be sent to.
Think of the sequences as every action has a reaction.
If a person fills out a form, you can set it up so that will be a trigger for another sequence of emails to be sent, that is related to the first form.
A subscriber can also be tagged for another sequence of emails if they download a certain link or fill out another form. The options are endless!
Short Video on Automation and Sequences for Online Creators
Sequences are an amazing way to continually make contact with your reader without having to constantly be writing newsletters.
This builds rapport with your readers and allows them to get to know you and your blog without any additional effort on your part.
In addition to Sequences, there are Broadcasts.
This is an email blast that you can choose to send to all your subscribers or to a specific list of people that you are targeting.
Like sequences, you can schedule this to be sent out on a certain time and date as well.
Also, this is where you can do A/B Headline testing.
And, being able to test which headlines work best can dramatically improve your open rates which equal more money!
The subscriber’s tab is a rundown of your entire email list and their specific groups.
These groups are defined by 태그. Tagging certain subscribers can automatically 트리거 ConvertKit to send them a certain sequence of emails.
And, these subscribers, saved in a “tag group”, would most likely be interested in a certain product or type of content.
When you make a sequence, you can specify which tags, meaning which people, will receive that series of emails.
One subscriber can have more than one tag that is manually assigned by you or automatically assigned based on their activity.
Automations are certain rules that you apply to your email sequences.
When an event or a trigger happens, like if someone subscribes, gets tagged, clicks on a link, an action happens in return.
Each automation is also customizable. These automation features are so awesome!
One of my favorite automations is adding someone to a tag or sequence when they click on a link.
In an email, you can ask what they are specifically interested in.
And, based on which link they click you can automatically subscribe them to a relevant sequence of emails.
Another way to use the automation feature is when you are promoting your own products or affiliate products.
You can add an automation so when someone clicks on the link to your product they are added to an “interested” list.
Because they expressed interest in a product, you can send them through a follow-up sequence about that topic or a funnel for your product.
ConvertKit can automatically integrate with hundreds of tools! And, they focus on being the best at email marketing and then building great 통합 with e-commerce, landing page, and membership site providers.
This means that you can use a 3rd party tool (plugin) and the leads will get pulled into your account and you can start drip campaigns without your involvement.
For example, I currently integrate ConvertKit with Opt-in Monster. And, they just merge seamlessly with each other.
Here are a few other popular ConvertKit integrations that people use:
- 가르치기 쉬운
- Webinar Ninja
- 생각 나는
- Gravity forms
- 그리고 더 많은.
You can get the full list of integrations available from ConvertKit right here.
What about ConvertKit Pricing?
No matter which ConvertKit plan you choose, you always get the same amazing features.
The amount you pay is based on the number of subscribers you have.
And, unlike many other email service providers, you aren’t charged for the same subscriber twice!
That’s one of the things I really like.
Here’s the current pricing of ConvertKit, up to 50,000 subscribers:
- Up to 1k subscribers is $29/month
- Up to 3,000 subscribers is $39/month
- Up to 5,000 subscribers is $79/month
- And $99 for up to 8,000 subscribers.
- After that, it’s on a calculated scale.
- Up to 10,000 subscribers is $119/month
- Up to 20,000 subscribers is $179/month
- Up to 35,000 subscribers is $259/month
- Up to 50,000 subscribers is $379/month
Is ConvertKit worth the cost?
